Trece Martires City, Cavite – the Department of Trade and Industry Cavite who formerly occupied an office in Dasmariñas City has moved to a new office at the Capitol Compound in the provincial capital, Trece Martires City. Housed along with the other public service providers in Cavite, it is set to take office at the Government Center Building after an invitation was extended by the provincial government to occupy the office space. Prior to the move, the organization has had perennial problems with finding a convenient and affordable business location. However, with the new site, hoping that it is permanent, this problem is considered solved.
DTI expects that with the transfer, there will be smoother flow of operation especially since Trece Martires City is the center of government in the province. It will enable DTI closer coordination and convergence with the other national and local government agencies and also make MSME development and consumer protection easier.
Mr. Noly Guevarra, Provincial Director of DTI Cavite believes the transfer on top of enhancing business operation reflects the organization’s support to the provincial government’s goal of putting the various public service providers in Cavite under one roof. Additionally, the relocation aside from improving the delivery of services is anticipated to cut down the cost of doing business.
